Technical Requirements for the NAATI CCL Exam
NAATI CCL exams are conducted online, candidates can take exams from any location in the world. All exams are conducted in Canberra, Australian time.
The exam is conducted online with a software called Proctor, which will perform the necessary pre-test administration, including ID (passport or driving license) room check. Please note it may take up to 10-15 minutes to complete the set-up for the exam but this won’t affect the exam time. Once the setup is completed you will be prompted with a test link.

During the exam, students will get two dialogues and they are required to convey the meaning of what each speaker says in the other language. This means that the student should start the response within 5 seconds which is permitted without penalty. The duration of the exam is 35 minutes. The exam will be closed automatically after reaching that point.

The exam audio and video will be recorded for assessment purposes. all suspicious behaviour will be flagged and may need clarification. Any breach of the exam conditions may result in the cancellation of the test. This recording will be retained by NAATI CCL after the assessment of your test is completed.
